The Sims is a spinoff of the SimCity series, developed by Maxis and published by Electronic Arts. The game is related to SimCity as they both feature many things in common, such as Simlish (introduced for SimCity in SimCopter) and the usage of The Sims.
In SimCity 4, players are able to import Sims from The Sims, for use in My Sim mode.
