Commercial development is a key element in the SimCity series. Unlike industry, commercial development is clean, very picky when it comes to desirability and provides many jobs when skyscrapers develop. the most common buildings to develop on Light Commercial are boutiques and shops.
There are low density, medium density and high density zones available.

Trivia: •In Simcity 2013,a gas station would build within the commercial zones.If they catch fire for too long and not extinguished,they would explode and destroy the buildings located on its left and right.
